I think it might look fine if there was a bigger difference between the post and the background

For once I have to agree with Fin.
It's not a big issue, but also find it hard to read (and I waited some days to get used to the theme first)

There's also the option to change the theme to the original one in settings (but that's kinda boring )

I think everyone can agree that, its a forum operated by KoC admins completely that can be made to integrate and feel more like KoC.
Obviously GUA has been a great place to have the forums but it was definitely well overdue making this move.

Oh and this bright green print has got to be changes how about making it purple. Easier on the eyes that way.

I like the current font color at the moment with this theme. Purple is not a bad idea, but I would prefer Pink!

Although I know the Admins are looking into themes so, guess we can wait to see what themes we will also be able to use
