New Player Enlightenment

Post by dirtyrat »

A thread for new players who have questions about the game, etc.
------
'alliance confusion'
1. I've noticed some sort of weird connection between alliances. I'll see one player in a single alliance but also connected to yet another alliance. For example;
1. I looked up a alliance and noticed the owner of it.
2. I then clicked to that owners account and saw 'commander'
3. I then clicked to that commanders account and saw he was in yet another different alliance. My guess would have been that commander would have been someone else within the original alliance - but no I was wrong. can someone explain this??

alliances join up with other alliances for either growth or protection so u could have maybe 4 diferent alliances playing and supporting each other

trickle goes upchain mostly .. so, when two alliances join for growth, it might be alliance a , then alliance b , then alliance a , then alliance b .. so that all alliances benefit from trickle.

take our chain for example .. there is me giving my commander trickle .. he is in a different alliance, so to compensate, their alliance put a clicking member below me, now i get trickle and give trickle .. above my commander is yet a different alliance member getting trickle and that alliance put a person below my commander giving him trickle .. etc. like a big pyramid scheme.

Alliance growth deals are all pyramid schemes. However, the benefit of having a good relationship with the alliance you partner with is the community, access to knowledge, tools, scripts etc.

Next question: Does attack damage also count as defense in anyway? That conquest page really messed up my thinking because it was SUGGESTING to me that 1. not only is attack strength important but also 2. it was showing the opponents STRENGTH, and then the results would show the opponents DAMAGE. Now to (silly?) me strength is damage. So a sub question would be: WHY is that page showing me the attack strength/damage in the results? That shouldn't be important to me correct??? I just want to break the npk for the exp points.

when you attack, you get attack damage, and they get defense damage. when you are attacked, you get defense damage, and they get attack damage.

on a side note, the higher your attack strength is, the more damage you will do to the opponents defense weapons. the higher their defense strength, the more damage you get to your attack weapons.

Ok this has been highly confusing to me for some time but I think i got it figured out. So tell me if i am correct.
1. Vault page - I can not manually vault gold: true or false? (I kept trying after i attacked other for gold:(
--
2. Gold is created for your kingdom as you gain turns - NOT as you play turns. true/false? (I could not figure out why everyone was looting my gold that I never have seen when logged in before. But attack log was showing mils of looted gold:(
--
And 3. A question: If you select another as your officer (or is it commander?) does that player then gain a damage etc bonus? Is this the true reason why everyone rushes to gain new members into their alliance? To boost their own kingdoms in some sort of way..?

1. Safe gold- The gold that gets deposited into your safe depends on your upgraded %. The gold does not get removed from your Turn Based Gold, it is a bonus we give you. You cannot deposit, you can only withdraw. The safe accumulates up to 3b gold then stops accumulating gold.

2. You receive Turn Based Gold every 1 min, the amount you gain depends on how many soldiers you have. You do not have the gold on hand when you log in because someone has already stolen it from you.

3. A commander gives you Commander Conscription which is a % of their own Conscription. The commander receives trickle from the clicks you do. So to gain more soldiers players recruit officers so they can grow faster.

I think I've read around 60-70% of that; so much info. I think I'll have to re-read it several times over the course of several days to get a total grip on it; lol.

OK;
1. The attack result page suggests to me that my untrained troops are fighting and weaponless; so I have been trying to equip them with at least cheap knives. HOWEVER that help guide suggests that untrained troops don't fight;

"To train your soldiers, use the Training page. Soldiers can be trained to be specialists in either attack or defense - whichever you choose, they will boost that ranking further, while ceasing to contribute to the other ranking. You can also train soldiers to become spies or sentries, which will be discussed in more detail later. In this case they cease to contribute to your attack/defense strength and the amount of gold you get per turn, as instead they are being kept in readiness for any covert missions you may choose to send them on."

So someone please explain this..? Is it just showing them dying because they are untrained? Or is it to show me I should train these soldiers. I am confused:(
"while ceasing to contribute to the other ranking." - Does this mean untrained soldiers give a little in all areas until they are trained otherwise?
